What you actually wanted was the thing inside it. The eighth slide. The frame at nine seconds. The sentence someone said over the music. None of that is yours. It sits on a platform, behind a feed built to show you the next thing instead of the last one.

So the work you meant to keep piles up somewhere you cannot search, in an order nobody chose, and quietly stops being work at all.
